Grenache is Australia’s signature grape variety and the Thistledown are ever so slightly obsessed with it.

Beautifully pale, salmon pink with delicate aromatics and lovely texture, it lives up to its Gorgeous name. Full of red berry and citrus fruit acidity, the freshness is balanced by gorgeous mid-palate weight with creamy berry fruit and a long, dry, mouth-coating finish. Very moreish and hugely versatile with food pairing.

The fruit for this beauty is sourced from an old, single vineyard in Berri. True to form, the Thistledown team make this as a wine that preserves the best of variety and vineyard: the fruit is destemmed and gently pressed with only three and a half hours of skin contact. Fermentation is cool and the wine then spends five months on its fine lees to give it its engaging and supple texture.
