Taylors Sentinels Vintage Port 2022
introduces Sentinels Vintage Port. Crafted from four of its historic vineyards in the Pinhao Valley: Terre Feita, Junco, Casa Nova, and Eira Velha. Named after the “marcos de feitoria” granite pillars marking these sites, this new wine honours the legacy of these iconic vineyards.
- A deep purple-black core and narrow purple rim shines. This wine bursts with intense woodland fruit, layered with rich blackcurrant, dark plum, and cherries. Subtle notes of dark cherry, rockrose, mint, and rose petals enhance the bouquet. The fruit is elegant yet vibrant, concealing the wine’s energy.
- On the palate, it offers remarkable freshness and purity of fruit, with hints of lavender and herbs. Focused berry flavours of damsons, plums, and black cherries lead to a long, evolving finish.
Excellent accompaniments to Taylors Sentinels vintage port 2022 is walnuts, blue veined and other richly flavoured cheeses. So too are dried fruits such as apricots or figs. Alternatively, simply savour the rich and complex flavours of the wine on their own in a generously proportioned glass with good company.
Serve at 16C to 18C. Drink vintage port one to two days after opening.
