Taylors Quinta De Vargellas Vintage Port 2022
The Fladgate Partnership marked St George’s Day by announcing the release of a vintage ports from 2022.
- This newly declared vintage port features a deep purple-black colour with a magenta rim. It opens with a bold, fresh nose of blackcurrant and cherry, evolving to reveal layers of woodland fruit, plum, citrus, and quince
- The captivating grapey freshness enriches the aroma that intensifies over time. Characteristic floral violet notes blend seamlessly with subtle blossom and herbal hints
- On the palate, it delivers a continuous wave of clean berry fruit, supported by firm, well-integrated tannins that add both structure and a touch of elegance. A superb single quinta port with remarkable balance and finesse
Pair Quinta De Vargellas vintage port 2022 with walnuts, blue veined and other richly flavoured cheeses. So too are dried fruits such as apricots or figs. Serve at 16ºC to 18ºC. Drink vintage port one to two days after opening.
