Taylors Chip Dry White Port
Taylors Chip Dry is a stylish and sophisticated aperitif, the perfect introduction to a relaxed meal. Use Chip Dry to make a refreshing and original by mixing one part of Chip Dry with two parts of tonic water in a tall glass, adding a sprig of mint or a twist of lemon.
introduced Chip Dry in 1934. Made from traditional white grape varieties, fermintation is longer than usual to give it an appetisingly crisp dry finish. Several years of ageing in oak vat and careful blending complete the fresh fruit flavours with an elegant, complex nuttiness.
Taylors produce Chip Dry using the traditional port wine vinification method. They add Brandy to the must to halt fermentation and to preserve some of the grape’s natural sugar in the finished wine. They add the brandy later, when much of the sugar has been converted into alcohol, producing a port of unusual dryness.
