Silent Noise Cloudy But Fine Chardonnay
The Silent Noise winemaker Charlie, is not just a Winemaker, he is a self-proclaimed Noisemaker. Growing up at the Kangarilla Road winery with vineyards all around, Charlie was around a busy, noisy winery from a young age. Learning to appreciate the silence after bottling. Waiting in anticipation of what noise these will create on the nose and palate when opened.
- Candied notes like honeydew melon and apricot. Balancing the zing of fresh lemon and some orange blossom and geranium florals
- Enjoy these same notes on the palate, which has a lovely texture to it thanks to the wine being unfiltered
- A dry wine, but with the added bonus of a sweet treat in a finish that is reminiscent of Danish pastries
Silent Noise Cloudy But Fine Chardonnay pairs well with summer salads, white fish, and butternut squash risotto.
Cloudy But Fine Chardonnay is from A grade fruit from low-yielding vineyards in Lenswood, Adelaide Hills. The juice undergoes several hours pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation is in 100% new French oak barrels. The wine is left on the lees, without sulphites, for 9 months. Bottling is unfiltered because it tastes so delicious before this stage and Charlie did not want the wine to lose its character
