Penfolds St Henri Shiraz
St Henri Shiraz is a style, which was released for the first time by in the early 1950s. Savoury and gorgeous with great length, depth and concentration. A stunning wine of enduring quality and cellaring potential.
St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, mocha like characters as it ages. Maturing in large, old wooden vats which allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character.
- Deep plum red in colour
- Savoury notes, generous aromas of chocolate and cherry liqueur
- The palate is plush, glossy and seamless, abetted by silky, polished tannins. Flavours of black olive, coffee and mocha
- Medium-bodied, with a great core and lovely structure
Perfect paired with rare meats, BBQ rib steak, rack of lamb or a mushroom burger. For optimum enjoyment carefully decant prior to serving. Drink between 2024 and 2052.
