The 12th release in Penderyn’s Icons of Wales series, Copperopolis pays tribute to Swansea’s historic role in the copper industry. From 1720 onwards, Swansea was responsible for smelting 50% of the world’s copper and 90% of the UK’s supply, earning its title as the heart of the copper trade. Today, Penderyn’s new distillery stands within the historic Powerhouse of the old Copperworks, making this release a fitting homage to the city’s industrial past.

Matured in Sweet Red Wine Finish and bottled at 46%.

• A floral and fruity bouquet with delicate orange blossom, peaches, cherries, and orange peel. Sweet notes of vanilla and honey, balanced by a subtle spice from dried fruits.
• A rich, velvety texture with the sweetness of caramel and honey. Layers of dried fruits – raisins, figs – and gentle oak spice add depth and warmth.
• A lingering dryness of oak, complemented by a touch of citrus sweetness and a light dusting of cocoa.
