Pavillon De Trianon Bordeaux Blanc
Chateau Trianon was purchased by former Chateau Cheval Blanc owner Dominique Hebrard in 2000. This 14.5 hectare estate based in Saint Emilion, Bordeaux. Their vines are an average age of 35 years old. Picking all grapes by hand. The ultimate ambition here is to achieve Grand Cru Classe status for their Saint-Emilion.
The second wine of Chateau Trianon, Pavillon de Trianon, offers exceptional value. They make both a under this label.
Pavillon de Trianon Blanc is a blend of 85% sauvignon blanc and 15% semillon. Fermenting 75% of the wine in stainless steel, and the rest in oak barrels.
- Nose has intense aromas of citrus rind, grapefruit and gooseberry, with subtle hints of white flowers
- Palate has a harmonious balance between lively lemon and lime citrus fruit, and riper, fleshier ripe peach
- Pavillon De Trianon Bordeaux Blanc pairs well with cod loin, chicken in a white wine sauce, or a potato salad
