Nikka Taketsuru pure malt non aged was introduced in 2020. This release features an enhanced recipe and a fresh label design that embodies the brand’s essence.
- A nose of butterscotch and vanilla toffee lead, evolving to crunchy barley sugar
- Toffee apples, peach, spiced bread notes, beeswax, and light honey follow
- Candied lemon and orange peel linger
- A palate of honey drizzle brown bread and fresh apple slices transition to treacle toffee and raisins
- Pears, lemon peel, and singed fruit cake emerge
- A finish of vanilla-sugar-dusted apple slices and toffee give way to cinnamon toast and apple peel
