Michael David Freakshow Zinfandel

In 1984, two brothers named Michael and David inherited some land from their father. The family had been farming soil on this land since the 1860s, cultivating wine grapes since the 20th century. When Michael and David inherited the land that they decided to set up their own working winery.

The Phillips family are passionate about Lodi wines, and strive to leave the land in a better place for future generations. The brothers are not shy of marketing their wines with loud labels. Some might say chaotic, we say they are fun. In the words of Michael and David, they don’t break the rules, they make the rules.

Freakshow Zinfandel is a great example of the opulent yet bright fruit and sweet spice of Lodi Zinfandel.

• The oak influence also gives indulgent notes of chocolate, vanilla, liquorice and toasted oak
