Kopke Colheita Port 1998
Kopke colheita port wines have extraordinary award-winning quality. Made from a singular harvest, ageing in wood for as long as possible and are only bottled upon commission.
- Bright brown colour with red hues
- Aromas of dried fruit are dominant on the nose, yet fresh notes of red fruit (cherry) come to the fore
- This is elegant and complex on the palate, laden with rich flavours integrated with the exuberance of spice
Kopke colheita port 1998 has an unctuous, delicious and persistent finish. Chilling before serving, reveals all its finesse and sophistication, especially when drinking with desserts of caramel, dried fruit and spice, such as caramel fondant with apple and ginger jelly, tarte tatin, creme brulee and medium strength cheeses.
Serve this at a temperature between 12 and 14°C. Store in a cool and dry place, shelter from light and temperature fluctuations. Keep the bottle in an upright position. Over time, it is natural that sediment will form at the bottom of a bottle.
To assure its full quality and flavour, store in the bottle for as little time as possible, and drink soon after purchase.
is the oldest port house. Established in 1638 by Nicolau Kopke and his son Cristiano, who came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic League. Managing the House are several representatives of the Kopke family, obtaining an excellent reputation for its wine.
