Hampden Estate 8 Year Old Estate Rum is a distinguished expression from one of Jamaica’s oldest sugar estates, renowned for its rich, full-bodied pot still rums. This rum embodies the quintessential “funky” Jamaican style, characterised by its intense flavours and aromatic complexity.

• The aroma is vibrant and intense, featuring notes of caramelised apple, sweet spices, and a subtle smokiness.
• On the palate, the rum is dry and smooth. Flavours of charred oak, cocoa nibs, and tropical fruits like pineapple and guava. Spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and black pepper add complexity.
• A with a long finish with hints of vanilla and fresh pineapple.

Crafted from molasses, the rum undergoes an extended wild fermentation process. Followed by distillation in traditional copper double retort pot stills. It is then aged for eight years in Jamaica’s tropical climate. A maturation period that imparts a depth and complexity equivalent to nearly 25 years in a European climate.

Bottled at 46% ABV, Hampden Estate 8 Year Old is versatile. Suitable for sipping neat, on the rocks, or as a base for classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned or a Rum Sour. Its robust flavour profile also pairs well with tropical mixers, enhancing drinks like the Hampden & Pineapple.
