Domaine Chofflet Givry En Choue Premier Cru Red Burgundy Pinot Noir showcases vibrant flavors of red fruits such as cassis, raspberry, and wild cherry, and is ready to be enjoyed upon release. On the palate, one can savor the luscious notes of ripe cherry, plum, strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of mushroom.
Clos de Choue is a vineyard located in the Côte Chalonnaise, spanning 4.5 hectares and featuring a sloping south-facing amphitheater shape. The grapes undergo destemming and a five-day cold soak before fermentation using native yeast. Gentle foot-treading is employed for crushing, and pumpovers are conducted once daily. Aging takes place in barrels, with 70% of the cuvee aged in a combination of new and one to two-year-old barrels. The remaining portion is matured in concrete tanks. After 14 months of aging, the cuvee is blended and bottled a month later.
