Finca Museum Cigales Reserva
Finca Museum is based in Cigales, a small DO east of Valladolid in north-central Spain. The reds here are made from a thicker skinned clone of tempranillo known as Tinta del Pais. The combination of these thick-skinned grapes, a warm, continental climate, dry-farmed bush vines that are over 70 years old, and very low yields, results in reds of outstanding concentration and intensity.
For the Finca Museum Cigales Reserva, fermentation takes place in stainless steel with regular pump-overs for maximum extraction of colour and flavour. The wine then spends 14 months maturing in French oak, and an additional 12 months in bottle before release.
- Deep, ruby red in colour
- Intense, fruit-driven aromas of strawberries, blackcurrants and cranberries
- On the palate, the concentrated fruit profile is accompanied by complex flavours of savoury spice, liquorice and roasted hazelnuts
Pair with rich meals like steak, lasagne, or miso-roasted aubergines.
