Confidences De Prieure-Lichine Margaux
This estate was once the pride of Alexis Lichine. Stephane Derenoncourt, who made a name for himself with his work at Pavie-Macquin and Canon-La-Gaffeliere, is now the consultant winemaker here, working in tandem with oenologist Etienne Charrier. In 2013, the winemaking facilities were completely revamped and the quality of the wines has seen a marked improvement since.
- Confidences de Prieure-Lichine is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Produced from younger vines, but harvested, vinified and aged with the same care as the Grand Vin.
- Confidences De Prieure-Lichine Margaux is a soft, round, and silky Margaux that is best enjoyed between 5 and 10 years after harvest.
Best served with rack of lamb, beef wellington or hard cheeses.
