Founded in 1731 in Beaune by Michel Bouchard. Bouchard Pere et Fils is one of the oldest , with a history spanning nine generations. In 1995, they were bought by producer Joseph Henriot. Restoring the 15th century Chateau de Beaune and made further investment in a state-of-the-art winery in 2005.

Bouchard Pere et Fils Meursault Les Clous originates from vines planted on calcareous marls. Maturing the for 8-10 months in French oak, up to 10% of which is new, and a further 2 to 3 months in stainless steel.
