Descrizione
From the wonderful, traditional house of Martiez Lacuesta comes this ultra-traditional wine, fortified and aromatised in the same way it has been made since 1937, only here cask-aged for seven months giving colour and intensity and class.
A vermouth that is bitter, sweet and aromatic, this aged version is based on white wine before being blended with its various other constituent parts (herbs, tree bark, spices etc) and shows flavours of clove, cinnamon, sandal-wood, vanilla with additional notes of roasted nuts and cooked spices. The result is a Vermut (to give it its Spanich name) that has a delicious richness, balanced by the acidity of the white wine, making it superb as an aperitif on its own or as a partner in crime for whichever party-piece you desire from your cocktail menu.
We’re particularly partial to Negronis and Americanos in these parts, but let’s be crystal clear: this only requires ice.
