Descrizione

This is a delicious wine from the Umbrian estate of Antinori that is famed for its elegant wines made from Burgundian grape varieties.

This 100% Chardonnay is elegant and fresh with flavours of tropical fruit, citrus fruit and lightly toasted nuts and vanilla.

The soils around the Castello della Sala are limestone and mineral-rich, making for excellent drainage and encouraging qualities in the wines similar to those in the best areas for growing white Burgundy.

The fermentation is carried-out on a lot by lot basis, allowing for different use of oak barrels and malo-lactic fermentation when it’s required.

It shows the sensitivity of the winemaking team and their respect for the soils with the one governing principle of maximising the potential of the grapes, year after year.
