Ridge Vineyards came to life when three research scientists from Stanford University bought the famous Monte Bello estate in 1959. Following the arrival of Stanford philosophy graduate Paul Draper, Ridge Vineyards became increasingly focused on an environmentally sustainable, low intervention approach, becoming pioneers of a philosophy increasingly adopted around the world.
