Penfolds Bin 138 is inspired by the classic blends of the Southern Rhone, where Shiraz, Grenache, and Mataro (Mourvedre) combine to create a bold and expressive wine. Sourced from , some dating back to 1895, this wine reflects the region’s rich winemaking heritage.
Originally released as Old Vine Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre in 1992, it was elevated to Bin status in 1998. Cementing its place in the Penfolds collection.
Bin 138 is crafted with precision, with each varietal vinified separately and matured in French and American oak before blending. The result is a wine of depth, complexity, and seamless structure.
