Mas Amiel Maury

Mas Amiel is a huge wine cellar, located just outside of the village of Maury, North-East of the Perpignan. They are best known for their Vin Doux Naturel, Maury, made entirely from grenache.

This sweet, oxidised and  is from fermenting the grapes in large glass demi-johns. Then adding extra alcohol halfway through, and leaving it all to steep for more than two weeks. It’s then aged in regularly topped up tanks for around 10 months before bottling.
