Famously described by Napoleon as the Champagne of England, Perry really is the epitome of true English wine.
Little Pomona Brut Rose is a Sparkling Perry made by the same traditional method of producing sparkling as in Champagne. Perry pears are blended with hand-picked damsons grown on gnarled, old trees. After blending, the perry is then bottled with the addition of sugar and yeast to encourage secondary fermentation in bottle. The carbon dioxide gets trapped under pressure, creating bubbles. The perry then spends 12 months resting on its lees, before being disgorged by hand with a small amount of dosage.
