Chateau Pichon Baron Les Tourelles De Longueville Pauillac 2014
Chateau Pichon Baron Les Tourelles de Longueville Pauillac is one of two second wines of the 2eme Grand Cru Classe Chateau Pichon Baron, named after the famous turrets that embellish the Chateau. The estate was founded in the 17th century and is today owned by AXA Millessimes, under the direction of Christian Seely.

- The floral, fresh and complex nose reveals aromas of spices and redcurrants. The attack is smooth, elegant and subtle, leading into robust structure
- The finish is elegant and long-lasting, carried along nicely by its tannins and nice ripe fruit
The estate comprises 73 hectares of vineyard area on gravelly soil. Planted at a density of 9,000 vines per hectare, with vines of an average age of 35 years old. Planting the majority with (65%), (30%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (2%). Each plot receives specific care and attention and harvest is exclusively by hand.
Les Tourelles de Longueville is a great introduction to Pichon Baron. Enjoy now or age for a further 15 years from release. It actually has a higher proportion of Merlot (65%). The rest of the blend consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petit Verdot (5%). Maturing a third of the in new French oak, with the remainder in second fill barrels.
