Frangelico is a traditional hazelnut liqueur – enjoyed neat, over ice, with coffee or in a wide variety of stylish cocktails. Produced in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, its origins date back more than 300 years to the presence of early Christian monks living in the hills of the area. Their skills in fine food and drink would have included the wild hazelnuts and other local ingredients to create a liqueur on which Frangelico is based today.

Taste Frangelico and the whole story falls into place. Made with hazelnut distillate, from wonderful toasted wild hazelnuts, found only in the Italian North – the unique Italian ‘Tonda Gentile’ nut, that are known for being bigger, rounder and sweeter. The nuts, once toasted and distilled with alcohol are combined with cocoa, vanilla berries and a host of other natural flavours that make up its complex recipe. Ageing in oak casks adds character and maturity to the final golden liqueur.

Frangelico is best enjoyed over ice with a slice of lime. It is also ideal for pouring over ice cream and desserts. You can even create sophisticated cocktails or simply enjoy with your favourite mixer, such is its versatility.
