Matetic Corralillo Syrah Organic
Matetic are a boutique biodynamic winery in the Rosario Valley, between the coastal valleys of Casablanca and San Antonio. The vineyards were planted in 1999, on the hillsides of this privileged area. Making us among the pioneers of cool-climate Syrah production in Chile.

Biodynamic agriculture promotes the biodiversity of the flora and fauna, protecting the health of the agriculturists and the consumers. The agricultural field is conceived as an individual, with the earth, plants, animals, cosmos, and men coming together to form one organism.
The grapes come for Corralillo Syrah come from two different blocks, both planted on hillsides with granitic soils containing decomposed quartz, with clay deeper down. Three different Syrah clones are planted to give variety, which are farmed biodynamically and hand harvested. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts, and the wine is aged for sixteen months in French oak.
